This Week in the Garden: Autumn Colours and Chores

Only two posts ago I shared that the first autumn leaves were falling in the garden and how quickly things change. I can't keep up with the leaves, especially our big old liquidambar; however, my garden helpers don't seem to mind the mess.  I put some of last week's Earth Day mindfulness pledge to work and gave up on my raking to just have fun and make a mess for a while - look at those happy faces!

Elsewhere in the autumn garden, things are growing well. The camellias blooming and buzzing, including their usual visiting pesky little hungry wasps. The pineapple sage is blooming beautifully, the autumn/winter veggies have been things to grow fat, the broad beans are in bloom, and our citrus is starting to ripen. Bliss! Even with the constant raking.  What's happening in and around your garden this week?  Whatever your garden/green news, we would love to hear about it. Please leave a comment or post us a message on the GiRL Facebook page I look forward to sharing our garden with you as it grows.
