This Week in the Garden: Autumn Refresh and Replanting

After last week's update on the weed-war and composting spent summer plants, it was time for an autumn refresh.  The back flower beds have finally been mulched.  Our puppy tried a few cheeky taste tests, but quickly returned returning to his favourite nest ontop of his (pancake flat) convolvulus, leaving our eldest (inspecting below) to enjoy snoozing in shady corners on his fluffy bark nest.  With only two options available from our local landscape supplier, selection was by default, but at least Oli has given it his snore of approval!

The autumn direct-sown veggies have also been planted out into our raised beds and the in-ground patch after some transitional soil work.  Fingers crossed we will have some little seedlings to nurture again soon. I'll keep you posted!

What's happening in and around your garden this week?  Whatever your garden/green news, we would love to hear about it. Please leave a comment or post us a message on the GiRL Facebook page I look forward to sharing our garden with you as it grows.
